Oasis Academy Temple Quarter is designed to accommodate 1,600 students.
The new school, named Oasis Academy Temple Quarter, will have a total gross internal floor area of 12,182m² and is designed to accommodate 1,600 students. Construction is set to begin this month, with the school scheduled to open by September 2027. The project will feature a modern school building and will also involve the renovation of an existing listed building, the boiler shop, which will be converted into a sports hall.
Peter Reavey, GRAHAM regional director, said: “The start on site for the project marks several years of hard work by the entire project team. We look forward to providing the new learning facility for Oasis Community Learning that generations of school children in the Bristol area will get the benefit from.”
The school is part of a larger master plan for Temple Quarter, which includes residential, commercial, research, enterprise, and student accommodation developments on nearby plots. The design of the school aims to foster a learning environment that supports student well-being and promotes community engagement.

While we’ve remained committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment at our temporary Spring Street site, our new property on Silverthorne Lane will be much more than a building. GRAHAM has emphasized that the completion of the project will help address the growing demand for school places in Bristol, providing a modern and sustainable educational facility for the region.
In addition to this project, GRAHAM was appointed in July as the primary contractor by Clarion Housing Group’s development arm, Latimer, for the £110m ($148.4m) redevelopment of the former Boddingtons Brewery site in the UK. This recent appointment highlights GRAHAM’s ongoing role in major construction and redevelopment projects across the country, demonstrating its capability to deliver complex and high-value developments on schedule.
The Oasis Academy project in Temple Quarter represents both an investment in education and a contribution to the broader regeneration of the area, combining modern construction with heritage renovation to create a facility that serves students and the wider community for years to come.
