Installation works are set to commence in 2028 and take around four months.
The BC-Wind farm is located about 23km from the Polish coastline. Once operational, it is expected to supply renewable electricity sufficient for nearly 500,000 households in Poland, contributing to the country’s clean energy objectives. The project is regarded as a significant step toward strengthening Poland’s offshore wind capacity.
Cadeler will allocate one of its O-class wind turbine installation vessels for the task. Installation activities are scheduled to begin in 2028 and are planned to take approximately four months. The operations will be supported from the Port of Gdańsk, serving as the project’s logistical base.
Commenting on the contract, Cadeler CEO Mikkel Gleerup said: “With this firm contract now signed, we are ready to bring our best-in-class fleet and experienced crews to support Ocean Winds on this important project. Poland is establishing itself as a key offshore wind market in Europe, and this project will be a significant step in strengthening the country’s renewable energy ambitions. We look forward to expanding our presence in the Polish Baltic Sea, building on the strong pipeline of projects we have already secured in the region.”
The cooperation with Ocean Winds highlights Cadeler’s growing involvement in major offshore wind projects across Europe. By deploying advanced vessels and technical expertise, the company aims to contribute to the scaling of renewable power generation in coastal markets.
In addition to its European commitments, Cadeler has also advanced its presence in Asia. In August 2025, the company signed an agreement with Synera Renewable Energy for the transportation and installation of 35 Siemens Gamesa 14MW turbines at the Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. This operation is scheduled to commence in March 2028 and is expected to take around 150 days. It will be carried out using Cadeler’s M-class wind turbine installation vessels.
Through projects in both Europe and Asia, Cadeler continues to expand its portfolio and reinforce its role as a partner in large-scale renewable energy developments. The BC-Wind and Formosa 4 projects illustrate the company’s strategy of supporting diverse offshore wind initiatives while leveraging its specialized fleet and experienced teams.
These contracts also demonstrate the increasing demand for advanced offshore wind infrastructure as countries work toward meeting long-term energy transition targets.
